Laws of Motion (ages 10-15) - $60 per student - 2 hours
Develop your child’s critical thinking and problem-solving skills with our engaging Laws of Motion course. This introduction to physics encourages students to explore the principles of motion and forces through hands-on challenges and creative design. By analyzing real-world scenarios, building models, and engineering solutions, students will deepen their understanding of inertia, acceleration, and action-reaction while fostering curiosity and a passion for discovery. Perfect for budding scientists and engineers, this course lays the foundation for lifelong learning in physics and beyond.
What will be covered:
Contact forces
The three laws: inertia, acceleration, action/reaction
Activities & Labs offered:
6 stations of activities for the 1st law of motion
A bowling lab for the 2nd law
An engineering activity for the 3rd law
Assessment at the end of class with the option of having it be a take home and parents giving it later
What is needed:
Decent floor space for bowling lab (not real bowling balls fyi) - hallways are perfect
